How to become an LPN in Florida:
1- Enroll in a Florida nursing program
3- Pass the NCLEX-PN Exam. You can register for this exam online at http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex. The exam fee is $200 at this writing.
4- Receive your license from the Florida Board of Nursing.
If you fail NCLEX PN in Florida you're allowed to take it again up to 3 times. If you fail both 3 times, you will have to get more training and it has to be approved by the Florida Board of Nursing.
As LPN you must earn credit toward continuing education. The renewed license is 2 years cycle.
At this writing, LPN in Florida earn approximately $39,900 a year.
